Thule Roof Box Stolen

I ve seen upwards of a 10 15 loss in mileage with just a roof rack on and wind deflector.

I was looking for a thule and i found one for a good price but unfortunately it had been badly damaged. Has anyone had a thule or yakima box successfully broken into. I just bought a yakima roof rack with no locks and i have it on my car now i m planning on putting locks on it soon but i just searched online even with those ppl with locks on their racks some ppl still had theirs stolen. Thule helps you transport anything you care for safely easily and in style so that you are free to live your active life.

Obviously i won t be taking on and off the roof rack since it s a lot of work. I used to be a sales rep in the outdoor industry so i rotated a packasport top case on the two vehicles i used to cover my territories with. It s been my ski storage up here for 3 years. The thievery thread made me think about posting this.

I just recently got a thule roof rack to put on my kia forte and also a thule kayak stacker. No bikes no box nothing extra. I just removed the four allen wrenches that fit on the rack points to discourage theft but is that even too far. I may be back into a more urban living environment and i m wondering if i should even put the thule box back on and leave my stuff in it if i do.

Thule bring your life. Ever forgotten that you had your thule carrier on the roof and then backed into the garage door. You will take an enormous hit on your fuel economy with that box up there. The owner had tried to fix the gaping hole by cutting out some plastic and bonding it.

Especially in la area in cali which i drive to work to almost each day i sure don t want mine getting stolen you guys think there is a way to. Well i guess that happens more often than you would think.
